Trade Tariffs Refunds 2026, LLC is a special-purpose entity formed to recover trade tariffs refunds for customs brokers and smaller and mid-size businesses after the Supreme Court held that portions of the Trump Tariffs exceeded the boundaries of IEEPA. The battleground for refund claims will be in the Court of International Trade. TTR26Group is a father-daughter business.

Caroline Kurz
PrESIDENT
Caroline brings 17 years of experience across consumer products and international trade. She earned her MBA from Boston College and studied in Austria and Germany, shaping a global perspective across U.S., Asian and European markets.
She has managed $135M+ in annual imports of Asian-manufactured consumer electronics and led product development and commercialization at Midea and SharkNinja across categories including vacuums and blenders. She has partnered closely with overseas factories, global suppliers and major U.S. retailers including Walmart, Costco, Amazon and Home Depot.
Her experience spans both durable and perishable goods, from consumer electronics to South American floral supply chains, with expertise in inventory planning, forecasting, pricing strategy and bringing products to market.
Caroline is based in Madison, New Jersey.
James S. Kurz
SeCRETARY/Legal Counsel
James is an attorney practicing in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He is admitted to practice in the federal and state courts of Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. Court of International Trade, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.
His experience includes several years as a federal antitrust attorney at the FTC and assignments as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C. He has been a Litigation Partner at two AmLaw 100 firms (Reed Smith LLP and Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, PLLC) and served as lead counsel for 76 Virginia businesses in litigation that secured millions of dollars in computer tax refunds and $200 million in prospective tax relief. He has also represented the trucking industry in federal interpleader actions.
He has tried more than 190 cases in courts and federal administrative tribunals.
James is based in Alexandria, Virginia.
